-2014 Chateau Larose de Gruaud *Bordeaux, France
Larose de Gruaud is the second wine of the prestigious Chateau Gruaud Larose, from the St Julien area of Bordeaux. The estate has been producing great wines since 1757. The grapes for Larose de Gruaud are estate-grown, hand-picked at maturity and aged 12 months in French oak barrels.. The estate uses sustainable agricultural practices: no pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers. The result is a rich, elegant and fruity wine that is easy to drink and delicious with any meal serving red meat or white meat dishes.
-2015 Jose Pariente Verdejo *Rueda, Spain The 2015 José Pariente Verdejo brings rewarding ripe core fruit flavors that are nicely tempered with an accent of dried citrus. Its rich finish makes an excellent sipping wine with appetizers or a first-course seafood salad. While I often drink Chardonnay, I find a changeup like this to be a welcome treat for the palate.
-2013 Urraca Malbec *Mendoza, Argentina 100 % Malbec aged 12 months in new French and American oak barrels. On the nose , this wine offers toast, incense and black cherry aromas. In the mouth, it is slightly less concentrated than the Cabernet Sauvignon though well balanced with a long finish.
